Published in 1828, Mexico in 1827, is a comprehensive account of Mexico in the years following its independence from Spain. Sir Henry George Ward was the first British Chargé d’Affaires in Mexico. Written during his time in Mexico the book provide a unique first-hand analysis of Mexico’s early governments’ and the mining prospect of the newly created republic. The beautiful plates  were created after original artwork by Ward’s wife Emily.

Condition:  Good, some offsetting and spotting, occasional underlining and anotation,minor worming, presentation label at front. Please see pictures.
