Little is known about the author of this book, the Spanish historian Julian del Castillo. According to his works, he was a resident of the town of Arroyo de Muñó in the Archbishopric of Burgos. He published the first edition of this book in Burgos in 1582.
The second edition(1624) is offered here, which, according to Palau, is preferred by scholars because it is more accurate and contains additions by Fr. Geronimo de Castro y Castillo.
Very good condition: rubbed spine head & tail, loose guard to frontis, Chatsworth bookplate to paste-down. Please see pictures.
